Rules:
- DO NOT approach bears or allow them to approach you! Bears are wild animals that are dangerous and unpredictable.
- Willfully approaching within 50 yards / 150 feet, or a half football field, or any distance that disturbs or displaces a bear is illegal in National Parks and National Forests.
- The following forms are for reporting a bear sighting only. Do not use this form to report a sick or injured bear.
- If you see a sick or injured Black Bear call the Georgia Department of Natural Resources – Ranger Hotline at 1-800-241-4113 (or text *DNR for AT&T Mobility Customers) 24 / 7! Please provide a contact number and county so the Game Warden can contact you if more information is needed.
